God commanded rest. The Sabbath was not an afterthought — it was built into creation. Retirement offers an invitation to embrace the rest that God has always intended for His people.

Prayer for Day 4

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You said "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." I come to You now. After years of labor, I receive Your gift of rest. Help me to rest without guilt, to enjoy leisure without anxiety, and to find in stillness a deeper communion with You.

Reflection for Today

Rest is not laziness — it is trust. When we rest, we acknowledge that the world does not depend on our constant effort. God is in control. Today, practice resting in His presence without an agenda.
