On this final day of the Novena for First Confession, we pray for growing in love for God through the sacrament of confession. We thank Him for the many graces and helps He gives us on our spiritual journey.
Prayer for Day 9
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Prayer:
Dear Lord, we thank You and praise You for giving us the sacrament of confession. We ask You to bless and prepare all who will soon make their First Confession.
Prayer of Love for God:
You give us many graces and helps on the path through life. You continually show Your love for us and You call us to love You in return. You can help each of us to grow in our love for You through the many powerful helps You have given us.
Daily Intention:
Please help all people who are preparing to make their First Confession, and we particularly ask today that You help all preparing to make their First Confession to grow in love for God.

Help us to take every opportunity we encounter to grow in intimacy with You each day of our lives. Give us the grace to strive to become saints at all times. And we especially ask in this novena for (mention your intentions here). Lord, hear our prayers!
Reflection for Today
Today we pray for love for God. Love is the foundation of our relationship with God. When we truly love God, we want to avoid sin and stay close to Him. The sacrament of confession helps us grow in this love by restoring our relationship with Him.
God loved us first, as St. John tells us. His love is unconditional and never-ending. The sacrament of confession is one of the ways He shows His love for us, offering us forgiveness and reconciliation whenever we turn to Him.
As we complete this novena, let us thank God for His love and for the gift of the sacrament of confession. Let us ask Him to help us grow in love for Him and to make this love the foundation of our spiritual lives.
Love for God motivates us to avoid sin and to seek holiness. When we truly love someone, we want to please them and avoid hurting them. The same is true in our relationship with God.
Remember that God's love for us is the source of all our love for Him. We love because He first loved us. Let us ask Him to increase our love for Him and to help us express this love through our actions and our faithfulness to His commandments.
