Prayer for Day 9
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Prayer:
Dear Lord, we thank You for the many ways You bless and protect our world. We ask You today to take care of all firefighters.
Prayer for Offering Work:
You have given us many means of growing in holiness and union with You. Even when we are at work in the world, we can offer all that we do to You for our holiness and in reparation for sin. Those who carry out the difficult work of fighting fires can offer all that they do to You.
Daily Intention:
Today we pray for firefighters to grow in the ability to offer all their work to God for holiness and reparation. We ask God to help all firefighters to grow in the ability to offer all that they do to Him.
Scripture Reading:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." (Colossians 3:23-24)

Please pour out Your grace and assistance on all firefighters, and we particularly ask today that You help all firefighters to grow in the ability to offer all that they do to You. Reflection for Today
Today we pray for firefighters to grow in the ability to offer all their work to God. Every action of a firefighter can be offered to God for holiness and reparation.
Whether they are training, responding to emergencies, maintaining equipment, or helping their colleagues, all of their work can be done for the glory of God. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us that whatever we do, we should work at it with all our heart, as working for the Lord.
For firefighters, this means seeing their work as a service to God and offering every action to Him. This transforms their work from just a job into a vocation and a means of growing in holiness.
