On this eighth day of the Forgiveness Novena, we pray for the grace to find true peace and reconciliation through forgiveness. We ask God to help us understand that forgiveness leads to peace in our hearts and relationships.
Prayer for Day 8
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O God of Mercy and Love, you are the most loving and caring Father. You are always ready to help us in our needs and to give us the grace to forgive others. We come to you today with trust in your mercy and love.
Your love for us is endless and your mercy is perpetual.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
O God of Mercy and Love, grant us peace and reconciliation through forgiveness! Help us to find true peace in our hearts and relationships through the power of forgiveness. Teach us to turn to you with confidence in every need for peace and reconciliation.

Reflection for Today
Today we pray for the grace to find true peace and reconciliation through forgiveness. Peace is the fruit of forgiveness, and reconciliation is the restoration of relationships.
Jesus teaches us in John 14:27 that He gives us peace, "not as the world gives." This reminds us that true peace comes from God and is found through forgiveness and reconciliation.
The title "Forgiveness Novena" reminds us that God is our ultimate model of forgiveness. He is always ready to help us forgive as He has forgiven us, and to grow in the virtue of forgiveness.
As we continue this novena, let us ask God to grant us peace and reconciliation. Let us ask Him to help us understand that forgiveness is the path to true peace.
Remember that peace and reconciliation are gifts from God that come when we choose to forgive and allow His grace to work in our hearts.
