Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

Closing Prayer:
We ask You to bless and assist all who are struggling with infertility, and we particularly ask You today to help all married couples who are struggling with the cross of secondary infertility! Help us to turn to You in every difficulty we face in our lives. Help us to grow closer to You even in the midst of sufferings. And I especially ask in this novena (mention your intentions here). Lord, hear our prayers!

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Reflection for Today

Today we pray for couples struggling with secondary infertility. Secondary infertility - the inability to conceive after having one or more children - can be particularly confusing and painful. Couples may feel guilty for wanting more children when they already have been blessed with children, or they may feel that their family is incomplete. 1 Samuel 1:27 shows us Hannah\'s joy when God answered her prayer for a child. This reminds us that it is good and natural to desire children, and that God understands this desire. Couples with secondary infertility may also face pressure from others who don't understand why they want more children or who minimize their pain because they already have children. Let us pray that these couples will find understanding and support, and that they will trust in God\'s plan for their family size.

How to Make an Excellent Novena

Be Hopeful

Pray with hope and trust in God\'s plan for your family. Remember that God loves you and has a plan for your marriage.

Be Patient

Trust in God\'s timing and be patient with His plan. God\'s ways are not our ways, and His timing is perfect.

Be Open

Be open to God\'s will, whether that means biological children, adoption, or other ways of building your family.

Be Grateful

Thank God for the gift of your marriage and for His love. Gratitude opens our hearts to receive more blessings.

Closing Prayer

Dear Lord, we thank You for the gift of fertility and for calling us to share in Your creative power. Help us to pray faithfully for couples struggling with infertility and to support them with love and compassion. May this novena help us grow in understanding and empathy for those facing the cross of infertility. Amen.
