Sacred Heart Daily

by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

The devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, revealed to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century, invites us to contemplate the infinite love of Christ symbolized by His human heart. These daily reflections will help you grow in love for the Sacred Heart and experience the transforming power of His love.

Behold This Heart

Jesus appeared to Saint Margaret Mary and showed her His Heart, saying: "Behold this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, to testify to them its love."

"And in return I receive from the greater number nothing but ingratitude by reason of their irreverence and sacrileges, and by the coldness and contempt which they show Me in this Sacrament of Love."

"But what I feel most keenly is that it is hearts which are consecrated to Me that treat Me thus."

The Sacred Heart of Jesus is not merely a symbol but the physical heart of our Lord, united to His divine Person. When we honor the Sacred Heart, we honor Jesus Himself and His infinite love for us.

This devotion calls us to respond to love with love, to console the Heart of Jesus wounded by our sins and ingratitude, and to make reparation for the offenses committed against Him.

📖 Scripture

John 19:34 - "But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water."

🙏 Prayer

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I adore You. I love You and I consecrate myself to You. Have mercy on me, a sinner. I desire to console Your Heart, wounded by my sins and the sins of the world. Accept my poor love and help me to love You more each day. Amen.
